Have your say on the proposed changes to the working age Local Council Tax Reduction Scheme from April 2019.
From 1 April 2019, there will be a new council for Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole. This new council will replace the existing councils – Bournemouth Borough Council, Christchurch Borough Council and Borough of Poole. Currently, each council has its own Council Tax Support Scheme, offering a reduction in Council Tax bills for qualifying residents.
The new council needs a single Council Tax Support Scheme for the 2019/20 financial year that is affordable, consistent and fair, not only for those who receive support, but also for residents who depend on wider services.
We are contacting Council Tax payers who currently receive a working age reduction to ask for their views. We’d also like to hear from other Council Tax payers.
